The brief was to emulate the Victorian cast railings and gates on the opposite side of the road, we hand-made the rosette panels from circles and components to resemble as closely as possible. In the bottom small picture the new are shown in their unfinished, raw state alongside the original railings and gates . This was a project for the Bridgend regeneration scheme at Newcastle Hill, Bridgend. The row used to feature wrought iron railings along the front but were removed for the war effort .The object of the exercise was to return the houses to their former appearance.
The pictures show the original alongside the new copies.

Both of these transformations changed the use of these gardens from wasteland to a tranquil contemplation zone in the first case and a pleasant low-maintenance family area in the second.
